Superfoods are nutrient-rich foods considered to be especially beneficial for human health and well-being. Superfoods can deliver large doses of anti-oxidants, polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals while promoting healthy human physiology, and we believe hemp is one of the original Superfoods.

90% of the American population eat too little fruit and vegetables – meaning they are not consuming enough vitamins and minerals (also called micronutrients) every single day. Micronutrient deficiency can lead to all sorts of health issues including fatigue, weight issues and illness. Adding nutrient rich superfoods to your daily diet can significantly help increasing your intake of vitamins and minerals and have positive effects on your health and wellness.

Yes, we use organic certified superfood ingredients in all of our products.

CBD stands for cannabidiol, a compound extracted from cannabis plants, and the main compound found in the hemp plant. Unlike THC within marijuana plants, CBD is not psychoactive, so it does not change a person’s state of mind when they use it.

Yes. In December 2018, President Trump signed the 2018 Farm Bill in to law. Hemp is now permanently removed from the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) and is forever deemed an agricultural commodity, just like corn, lettuce and avocados.

By redefining hemp to include its ‘extracts, cannabinoids & derivatives’ Congress explicitly has removed popular hemp products – such as hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) – from the purview of the CSA. Meaning it is available for companies like Adapt to find ways to create products that extract all the good from the plant, and deliver that to you.

Hemp and Marijuana are different species of Cannabis sativa and bred for different purposes. Industrial hemp is exclusively produced by Cannabis sativa, while marijuana can be derived from Cannabis sativa or Cannabis indica.

Both hemp and marijuana contain CBD, but there’s a much higher percentage in hemp. Hemp also has much lower levels of THC (less than 0.3%) than the marijuana species.

Industrial hemp is grown to be durable, have very long stalks and as few flowering buds as possible—this can make it easier to extract the high amounts of CBD and smaller amounts of THC. Hemp’s chemical profile means that you can’t get “high” from it, and it is used to create medicinal remedies, food and oil, as well as other products, including rope, bricks, natural polymers, fiber, clothes and many more. Hemp-derived products can be bought and sold anywhere in the USA.

Marijuana strains of cannabis are typically smaller, flimsier and have many flowering buds with the sole purpose of maximizing the concentration of THC. Marijuana is used recreationally and medicinally only, and can only be purchased at a licensed dispensary

The human Endocannabinoid System (ECS), named after the plant that led to its discovery, is perhaps the most important physiologic system involved in establishing and maintaining human health. Endocannabinoids and their receptors are found throughout the body: in the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands, and immune cells.

The Endocannabinoid System, with its complex actions in our immune system, nervous system, and all of the body’s organs, is literally a bridge between body and mind.
