Adapt x Chaim Shalk & Theo Brunner

Chaim Shalk

Chaim grew up in Red Deer, Canada and has dual citizenship in Canada and the US. He and his brothers got into volleyball when their dad built them a court in their backyard. Chaim has been playing volleyball for ten years; he’s a setter who played for Trinity Western University in Canada and was named an All-Canadian athlete; he also was on the teams at Red Deer College that won two national championships. Chaim won an AVP championship in Seattle in 2019 and five FIVB World Tour Medals, He became a USAV Beach Athlete in 2019.

Theo Brunner

Theo grew up in Connecticut and got involved in volleyball through his dad who was an indoor and outdoor player. After his high school team, Ridgefield, won the state championship, Theo went on to play at UC Santa Barbara and was a First-Team All American in 2007. After graduating from UCSB, he played professionally in Greece and Italy. Theo’s first AVP season was in 2013, and that year he won the AVP championships and was named the AVP’s Best Blocker. In international events, he’s won two bronze medals and took fourth place in the 2015 world championships. 


“What appealed to me most about Adapt at first was that it was NSF-certified. That assured me that the ingredients were going to be legit, and the quality control is there. We’re in the national testing pool, so we really have to be careful what we put in our bodies. Having a hemp product with NSF certification, that just immediately drew me to Adapt, and everything else fell into place.”
